There goes the greatest hitter who ever lived. Six portraits in one, this dynamite piece is Timmons’ largest size-wise and his most high-profile subject to date. The 16” x 20” artboard rendering is embellished with gouache and watercolor as it captures all facets of Teddy Ballgame’s batting mastery. A background montage of the Red Sox logo, Williams’ iconic batting average “.406” and two perspectives on Fenway Park beautifully round out this one-of-a-kind original tribute.
Bio: Michigan-based Kirk Timmons began his career with murals, landscapes, maritime scenes, graphic art and advertising before turning more recently to the sports-art realm. His unique number-art creations are currently sold as a popular print series at Detroit’s Comerica Park and on MLB's website.
