Opening Day Auction Closing May 9th

It was the year of Joe DiMaggio's death and David Cone's Perfect Game. It was the Yanks' second straight World Series sweep—a franchise feat previously accomplished only by the Ruth-led and DiMaggio-led clubs of the late 1920s and late 1930s. It was a Fall Classic highlighted by Chad Curtis' Game 3 walk-off homer. For these and other reasons, the last Bronx Bomber season of the millennium was one for the ages and has remained a hot collecting sector ever since. Recent years have seen the 1999 World Series rings of Yankee staff members sell at auction for upwards of $20,000. This Balfour 14K-gold, size 13 ring belonged to a staffer named "Sullivan" and features a dazzling array of authentic diamonds. A raised, diamond-studded "NY" insignia dominates the face, while shank designs celebrate "THE CENTURY'S TEAM" and "25TH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP." Near Mint condition.
