The beautifully embossed, square cornered CDV measures 2 1/2 x 4 and the affixed, albumen portrait measures approx. 1 1/8 x 1 3/8. The back of the card mount carries printed advertising text that reads at the top “Perry & Paul, Manufacturers and Dealers in Men's and Boy's Custom and Ready Made Clothing and Gents' Furnishing Goods". Further text at the bottom of the mount identifies the location of the clothing retailer as "No. 265 Maine Street, Worcester, Mass”. Additional text reads “One Price Only”. Extremely rare. Lincoln, best known for overthrowing slavery through the Emancipation Proclamation and the Thirteenth Amendment, was the 16th president and first of the Republican Party and was one of the most photographed presidents in history.
