Graded EX+ 5.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Ted Williams' career year in '41 still didn't yield an MVP Award for the Boston legend—despite hitting .406 and leading the league in home runs with 37. (Williams also had the game-winning blast in the ninth inning of the 1941 All-Star Game to cement the American League's victory.) Joe DiMaggio's New York popularity edged out Williams in the MVP voting, but didn't diminish the latter’s remarkable season. The offered commemorative's portrait has vivid, uninterrupted color throughout. All four corners are well-shaped, with hints of clean wear that are unobtrusive and barely discernible. Additionally, centering is very nicely balanced, a particularly solid attribute in this issue. The card displays evenly toned borders surrounding a strong, well-focused image. Excellent-plus condition.
