Graded NM 7 by PSA. Hall of Famer, in his debut-year trading card appearance. This cherished Clemente collectible was released as a component of a difficult "high number" segment in the 1955 Topps issue. Although the Hall of Fame outfielder's first season wasn't distinguished, Clemente did win a spot in Pittsburgh's starting lineup, and he remained a fixture there until his untimely death. This specimen of his first Topps card would be a highlight in any collection. The offered example's obverse features a bright white framing of Clemente's portrait and batting stance. His bold facsimile signature and the detailed Pirates logo enhance the item's favorable aesthetic. Clemente's facial image is featured in a well-focused presentation, and the cardfront's intense colors, in general, are second to none. The corners form solid right angles culminating in admirable points, and the piece's reverse displays just a hint of attractive, even toning. Near Mint condition.
