As a rookie in 2001, Albert Pujols received a selection of different bats as he was trying to find the right make and model that suited his swing. One of the makers who sent bats to the rookie slugger was Mizuno, and PSA/DNA have determined that this particular Pujols bat was not used in a game but for batting practice. The Mizuno N201 model bat shows excellent use and is uncracked. The barrel shows many ball marks with stitch impressions along with blue ink transfers and blue bat rack paint streaks. The upper handle has a coat of pine tar and the model number "N201" is stamped into the knob. Pujols' number "5" is hand written on both ends in black marker. Letter of Authenticity (1B01553) from PSA/DNA.
