Great game used bat from Kemps first full season in the Majors. Making the Dodgers out of spring training, the promising young player crashed into the outfield wall in pursuit of a fly ball. Kemp spent the next few months recovering in the minors but came roaring back with a vengeance in June batting .342 with 10 home runs throughout the rest of the summer. The Old Hickory Pro P100 model bat displays heavy use and is un-cracked. Many ball marks with stitch impressions cover the barrel along with cleat marks, blue ink transfers and bat rack pain breaks. A coat of Mota Stick is on the lower handle and a coat of pine tar is on the upper handle. The length and weight "34.0-32" are stamped into the barrel and the model "P100" and length/weight "34/32" are hand written on the knob end in black ink along with Kemp's number "27". Letter of Authenticity from Steiner (82739) and PSA/DNA (1B05314) who have graded this game a perfect GU 10.
