In this 20th-anniversary year, and with the recent HOF inductions of Bobby Cox, Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz, those 1995 Braves are as talked about and hotly collected as they have been at any time since bringing home Atlanta's first and only World Series title. And as ring collectors well know, only one '95 player example has ever been publicly auctioned (Luis Polonia's for over $13,000 in 2010), and just a small number of front-office rings have ever surfaced—of which this offering is certainly one of the finest. Issued to scouting supervisor Jim Martz, the Jostens 10K-gold, size 10-1/2 ring showcases a dazzling 115 points' worth of diamonds and features the Braves tomahawk logo, the World Series trophy and the slogan "Team of the 90s." Beautiful Near Mint condition. An accompanying 1999 purchase LOA states that the ring was bought on September 4, 1999, at the B.P. Sports Collectibles show in Atlanta. The original rosewood presentation box is also included.
