After an impressive career playing college football at Tennessee, Eric Berry was chosen 5th overall by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2010 NFL Draft. Berry quickly established himself as one of the elite safeties in the game, and was enjoying a successful career until late in the 2014 season, when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Berry began treatment immediately, and a mere 9 months later, he has been declared cancer free. He has resumed his football career with the 2015 season, and is poised for another fine season in the Kansas City defensive secondary.
This 2013 Kansas City Chiefs jersey, #29, was game worn during the month of October. It is a red jersey with white lettering and numbers, and sports an AFC LH patch on the upper left chest (the memorial patch for Lamar Hunt, the late owner of the Kansas City Chiefs). Jersey shows significant game usage, and is signed in black on the back numeral #2. Item was signed by Berry in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, 2013. Signature reads “Eric Berry 29”. Item is accompanied by an NFL COA from PSA/DNA, with hologram sticker #2N 00092.
