Former defensive lineman John Baker wore this white Houston Texans jersey during the 1974 World Football League season. The Texans relocated to Shreveport, LA after 11 games and became the Shreveport Steamer. Baker’s size 50-52 Medalist Industries jersey is a white mesh sand knit material and his “87” is screen-printed on the front, back and shoulders, and has yellow and green sold stripes on each sleeve. “BAKER” is screen printed on a white nameplate and the jersey displays evidence of game use with the under part of each sleeve having been split. The jersey was originally issued to defensive end John Matuszak and the manufacturer’s tags are sewn on the right front tail. This jersey comes with a full LOA from noted game used expert Dave Miedema.
