Army (8-0) and Navy (7-0-1), both undefeated and ranked #1 & #2 respectively at the end of the 1945 college football season, were scheduled to meet on December 1, 1945 at Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia, PA to determine the College Football Champion. With World War II in the rearview, President Harry Truman even attended the game, which was destined to be a classic. Unfortunately, the matchup that had been termed “The Game of the Century” was anything but that, as Army jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter en route to a 32-13 win and the National Championship for West Point. This well preserved full ticket from that game is on display here, detailing all of the particulars for the game on the front of the ticket, and showcasing the Municipal Stadium seating chart on the back of the ticket. This item is authenticated by PSA/DNA, and comes in a PSA Authenticator plastic holder.
