Until Jackie Robinson broke the MLB color barrier in 1947, the Negro Leagues were the only place for African-Americans to play professional baseball. For several decades, great ballplayers went undiscovered as they toiled in the Negro Leagues, with little to no recognition for their accomplishments. This multi-signed home plate celebrates the men who made the Negro Leagues a significant part of baseball history. This regulation size home plate, bearing a Negro Leagues Baseball 75th Anniversary Logo in the center, has close to 50 signatures, including Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Buck Leonard. This item comes with a COA from JSA. This significant piece of baseball history is a welcome addition to any collection.
