Issued in 1918, this certificate was given to Ella F. Sticker of Philadelphia Pennsylvania by the American Flag House and Betsy Ross Memorial Foundation to verify her membership in the Foundation. It also mentions that Sticker was a subscriber to the endowment fund for the preservation of the historic house in which the first flag of the United States was made and that the names of all subscribers are placed on the Foundation’s Roll of Honor and preserved in the Archives of the Association.
Beautifully crafted and inscribed, the certificate’s center image shows Ross’ creation entitled ‘Birth of Our Nation’s Flag.” In addition, to the left of the center image is a picture of the house in which the first flag was made and to the right a picture of Ross’ grave in Philadelphia.
Comes with letter of authenticity from University Archives
