In 1993 the 49ers found themselves in the enviable position of have two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks. The team itself was bitterly divided as to who should emerge as the starter, and when the dust settled it was Steve Young who took the place of veteran Joe Montana. An NFL patch is sewn on the v-neck and a Wilson label is sewn in the lower left tail with added size "44" and "FW" tagging. Each arm has three white appliqué stripes and number "8" in white tackle twill. The left sleeve has a white Wilson logo affixed. The back has "YOUNG" in white tackle twill on a red mesh name plate. His number "8" is below in white tackle twill upon which Young has signed his name in black Sharpie. The jersey shows great game use with many scuffs from contact visible. There are loose threads on the lettering and the tackle twill numbers exhibit some puckering from laundering and age. COA from the San Francisco 49ers.
