Two years after winning the Cy Young Award in 1996, John Smoltz put together another award-worthy season. With a record of 17-3 in just 167.2 IP, Smoltz would tie with teammate Greg Maddux for 4th in the voting that year. This home white, button-down Braves jersey was worn by Smoltz during that 1998 season, with “BRAVES” scripted across the chest, underlined with the Braves Tomahawk, in red-on-blue tackle twill. The lower front tail has the “Wilson” manufacturers tag with attached “48” size tag, with a small white strip tag below with the year “98” stitched in black thread. The verso has his name “SMOLTZ” across the back in blue on a white nameplate, with his number “29” below. Smoltz has signed the back #9 in black marker. This jersey comes with an LOA from JSA.
