This is a framed display, exhibiting a 2-page legal document assigning property rights, signed by Chicago Bears founder George Halas. The document, from the county of Reagan in the state of Texas, is type-written on legal-sized white paper, dated September 1st, 1953, and signed “George S. Halas” on the 2nd page. Halas’s signature has been witnessed by a notary public in Cook County, Illinois, who has also signed the document. A small folded assignment document is also included as part of this framed display, noting that Halas is assigning the property in question to Clark D. & Louvania Mae Shaugnessy.
