Despite the technicality that teammate Roger Maris eclipsed Mantle's mark to win the home run title; The Mick's league-leading walks total affirms that he was still the most feared hitter in the junior circuit. The offered Mantle card, a beautiful memento of that historic season, is centered almost perfectly. No printer's dots intrude upon the pristine surface of the dark background surrounding his image, and the likeness itself is above reproach.
