From 1941-1953, the Brooklyn Dodgers won 5 National League Pennants only to lose the World Series to the New York Yankees each time, giving rise to the familiar refrain “Wait ‘Til Next Year”. In 1955, next year finally came, as the Dodgers beat the Yankees in 7 games to capture their first (and only) World Series title in Brooklyn. This is a lot of (7) ticket stubs, 1 from each of the 7 games played in the 1955 World Series. On the back of 6 of these tickets are signatures, including Johnny Podres, Whitey Ford and others. This lot is accompanied by a JSA Auction Letter.
