Each player has signed the barrel in blue sharpie: Hank Aaron (added “3771”), Stan Musial (added “3630”), Carl Yastrzemski (added “3419”), Paul Molitor, Willie Mays (added “3283”), Eddie Murray, Cal Ripken, Jr., George Brett, Robin Yount, Tony Gwynn, Dave Winfield, Craig Biggio, Rickie Henderson, Rod Carew (added “3053”), Lou Brock (added “3023”), Raphael Palmero, Wade Boggs (added “3010”), Al Kaline (added “3007”) and last but not least, the man with the most career hits of all, Pete Rose (added “4256”). The bat has a brass commemorative plaque mounted on the barrel with the inscription “3000 HIT CLUB PETE ROSE MAJOR LEAGUE RECORD 4256 CAREER HITS”.
