In this jersey Peppers proved once again why his nickname is “The Freak Of Nature”. Worn in the October 10, 2010 game against the Panthers, the Bears captain performed an acrobatic first-quarter interception when he tipped a Jimmy Clausen pass which he caught thus setting up a field goal for Chicago. He modestly told espn.com: “I was able to get a hand on the ball and slapped it into the air and I came down with it. The celebration was self-explanatory”. Peppers’ Bears home navy blue jersey shows good game use on the front and back and both sleeves. Inside the rear collar is a strip tag with “10-48” and a PSA/DNA NFL sticker with the serial number N70449. Peppers’ Bears Captain’s patch with 1 gold star is sewn on the left breast. Sleeves feature the “Reebok” patch and are shortened with a ribbed hem. The bottom has been custom hemmed with elastic. Peppers’ number “90” appears on the front, back and on both shoulders. The “NFL EQUIPMENT” patch is on the front V-Neck. Inside the front right tail is a printed sticker from josports.com confirming this jersey as having been worn by Julius Peppers in the 10/10/10 game vs. Carolina Panthers. “PEPPERS” appears on back in white tackle twill on a navy blue nameplate. Peppers has signed the “9” on the back of the jersey “Julius Peppers 90” in black marker. Letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA NFL. Multiple images and LOAs available at goldinauctions.com.
