Babe Ruth's inclusion in Goudey's 1933 Sport Kings set must have been an obvious choice. Ruth was, in fact, the most popular sport's biggest celebrity. The short biography on the back refers to Babe Ruth as the "Home Run King", he was definitely that and so much more. From the plate Ruth had consistently lead the league in most categories for the better part of a decade. If this set is referred to as Sport Kings, which it is, then the Babe Ruth card could have easily been titled "King of Kings".
