Former big leaguer Dante Bichette spent 14 seasons in the Majors with five different teams and finished his career with 274 home runs, 1141 RBI and a career .299 batting average. Offered are three caps and two helmets worn by Bichette during his big league and independent league career.

In this lot are a fielder’s hat and skull cap from Bichette’s tenure with the Milwaukee Brewers in 1991-1992. The hat is a size 7 1/8 and manufactured by Sports Specialties. This royal blue hat has the Brewers’ logo sewn onto the patch and Bichette’s number “8” handwritten in faded black marker on the underside green brim. Bichette signed his name in black marker on the outer brim. The Brewers’ skull cap is the same royal blue with the Brewers logo affixed to the front and Bichette signed his name in silver marker on the brim. Both of the Brewers’ items show excellent use.

Bichette spent the bulk of his career with the Colorado Rockies and was one of the original members when the team started in 1993. This all-black New Era cap, sized 7 3/8, displays heavy game use with dirt stains and sweat stains on the inner band. The front of the cap has the raised interlocking “CR” in purple and silver and Bichette signed his name in silver marker on the outer brim. “TEN” is hand written in black marker on the gray underside brim.

Bichette joined the Cincinnati Reds before the 2000 season and played in 125 games before being traded to the Boston Red Sox. This black fielder’s cap with a red brim features the raised “C” logo embroidered in red and white. Bichette signed his name in black marker on the red brim and “NINE” is hand written in black marker on the underside gray brim. This hat shows heavy game use with sweat and dirt stains.

Three years after his final Major League game with the Red Sox, Bichette joined the Nashua Pride of the independent Atlantic League in 2004. Bichette wore this Rawlings royal blue batting helmet with a left ear flap. The Nashua Pride’s logo is affixed to the front of the helmet and Bichette signed his name in silver marker and inscribed “NASHUA PRIDE”. The helmet displays outstanding game use with various scuff, dirt marks and the inner padding showing wear. All of these items come with individual LOAs from Dante Bichette confirming game use and his signatures.
