Offered here is a uniquely single-signed Ruth item – a softball. Ruth signed his name across the sweet spot in bold blue fountain tip pen on this “Official Special Softball” with tan laces. Also stamped on the side panel in black is “HELMLY’S JEWELRY 22-28 N.W. 1st St. MIAMI, FLA.” The stampings on this cream colored ball are slightly faded but still readable and the ball displays signs of wear and toning with age.
