Striking orange batting practice jersey worn by coach Rafael Belliard at the 78th All-Star Game in San Francisco. The American League won the nail-biter which featured an All-Star Game first when Ichiro Suzuki’ hit an inside-the-ballpark home run in the 5th. The National League staged a 9th inning rally to bring the score to 5-4 but came up short in part due to Tony LaRussa’s controversial decision not to use Albert Pujols as a pinch hitter with the bases loaded and 2 outs. Aaron Rowand hit a fly ball to right which was caught to end the game. Belliard’s jersey has been signed by 38 All-Stars in black marker on the back surrounding his name and number which is in contrasting black tackle twill. All the best players in the AL are on this ball including : Ivan Rodriguez, David Ortiz, Plácido Polanco, Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Vladimir Guerrero, Magglio Ordóñez, Ichiro Suzuki, Manny Ramirez, Jorge Posada, Josh Beckett, Hideki Okajima, C. C. Sabathia, Johan Santana, Justin Verlander, David Ortiz and more. Front of the jersey has “AMERICAN” in black, orange and tan across the chest and piping of the same colors around the 1-button collar. The left sleeve carries the Detroit Tigers patch representing Belliard’s team and the right sleeve features the 2007 logo patch. Bottom right of the tail has the Majestic/All-Star Game/SF Giants tagging and a seam tag to the right of that marks the size “42” and Majestic CoolBase logo.
