This official Selig Major League Baseball, game used on April 12, 2008 at Shea Stadium in Flushing, NY, has been signed and inscribed by Mets Captain David Wright. Wright collected one hit in three at-bats on the day, stroking a solo home run in the eighth off Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Ben Sheets. It was Wright’s fourth home run of the young campaign, the final season for Shea Stadium before the Mets moved into their new home at Citi Field. This commemorative baseball, featuring a Shea Stadium 1964-2008 logo, exhibits heavy game use, and has been signed and inscribed “David Wright 5 HR Game 4/12/08” in blue ink just below the Shea Stadium logo. The game used, signed and inscribed ball comes tagged with MLB Authentication hologram (BB 897454).
