Making his first All-Star Game appearance in 2009, Detroit Tigers outfielder Curtis Granderson tripled and scored the game’s deciding run in the American League’s 4-3 victory over the National League on July 14, 2009 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Granderson wore this Detroit Tigers batting helmet during the game, and has signed and inscribed the top of the brim in silver marker “Curtis Granderson 28 1st All-Star Game Triple” to commemorate the event. The back of the helmet features Granderson’s number twenty-eight and the 2009 All-Star Game logo decals, and it has been tagged with MLB Authenticated hologram (LH 705862).
