Nice game used bat from the Yankees’ first baseman’s most productive
years. Martinez was voted to the ‘97 All-Star team where he soundly won
the Home Run Derby. He then finished out a monster year where he
finished 2nd in the AL home runs and RBI. The next season Martinez went
down in World Series history with his game-winning grand slam home run
in Game 1 of the 1998 Series. This is a Hillerich & Bradsby model B349
bat made to Martinez’s specifications of 34.25” and 31.6oz and conforms
with the bats ordered by him in 1997-98. Bat shows excellent game use
with ball marks, stitch impressions, ink transfer marks, cleat indents
and bat rack streaking. Martinez’s number “24” has been hand written in
black marker on the knob. Letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
