Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow spent his college career at Missouri, where he was a two-time all-conference selection for the Big 8 Conference and a consensus All-American in 1978. The tight end took his talents to the NFL, where he played his entire career with the San Diego Chargers where he was a five-time Pro-Bowler.
Winslow was awarded this 24-inch high trophy by The Greater Kansas City Sports Commision for his “Athletic And Scholastic Excellence” in 1979. This trophy has an 8 x 8 inch square base that is raised up five inches. A 10-inch high gold cup style trophy with an 8-inch figure in silver tops this trophy. A 3 ½ x 6 inch gold plate is attached to the base and reads “Kellen Winslow Big 8 Conference 1979 Athlete Of The Year Awarded For Athletic and Scholastic Excellence The Greater Kansas City Sports Commission”. On the opposite side of the gold plate, Winslow signed his name in silver marker and inscribed “CF HOF 2002”. This trophy comes with a COA from JSA (W874878).
