This Cabrera game-used grey button-down Tigers road jersey was tagged by MLB after the team’s 3-1 win over Kansas City on April 17. Cabrera went 2-for-4 in the contest with an RBI. The jersey features “Detroit” scripted across the chest with “CABRERA” across the top back and his number “24” on both sides in navy blue on orange and white tackle twill. The front left tail of the jersey features a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label with a white strip tag below that reads “24 52 ’12 ST 171.” Tigers clubhouse manager Jim Schmakel marked the manufacturer’s label “JSG” in black sharpie to verify the jersey was worn by Cabrera.

The jersey shows evidence of game use including stains on the shoulder and normal wear, and is verified under the MLB Authentication program, number “EK056671." The Jersey actually was used three days earlier than when MLB collected it. It was used April 14th 2012 and photo from game is posted online. This jersey has been framed in a 33 ½ x 42 inch shadow box display that also includes his locker room name plate. The name plate has a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 077466). At the bottom of the frame is a full color 8 x 10 inch photograph of Cabrera that he signed in silver marker and inscribed “24”. This framed jersey comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AA07818), which authenticates Cabrera’s signature on the jersey and the photograph, and a LOA from JSA (Y72251), which authenticates Cabrera’s signature on the jersey only.

Please note the hologram EK 056671 is on the back of this jersey and not in site due to it being framed. In addition, in the MLB database lists EK 056671 as "game issue" which is how they will record any item they didn't personally see come off the back of the player. This jersey is being sold as 'game used' given we are 100% confident in its use based on the information provided by our consignor, the use on the jersey, and the initials of the clubhouse manager on the label, which is a protocol the Tigers used to identify game used items.
