After finishing as runner-up for the American League MVP award in back-to-back seasons, Mike Trout, the new face of Major League Baseball, finally managed to take home the honor at just 23 years of age. Trout’s MVP campaign, which featured an AL leading 115 runs and 111 RBI, came wearing these Nike MVP Elite Pro batting gloves. Trout signed both gloves on top of the hand in bold, black sharpie with the inscriptions “14” and “G/U.” The Velcro strap gloves feature a silver Nike logo below Trout’s signature and “MVP ELITE PRO” in silver print on the top wrist. The inner wrists of the gloves feature red stitched patches with Trout’s number “27” in white. The palms of the gloves show heavy evidence of game use and are severely saturated with dirt staining. The signed gloves come with an Anderson Authentics LOA, also signed by Trout.
