The greatest battery in Philadelphia sports history, Lefty Grove to Mickey Cochrane. Both legends have signed this vintage red and blue stitched baseball. The ball is dark and has some scuffing, but the signatures of Grove and Cochrane are very dark and very legible. The ball is dated '8/23/31' in an unknown hand. On that date, Grove pitched a complete game, losing 1-0 in a 6 strikeout, 7 hit 0 walk performance, with Cochrane catching.
