For any Boston Red Sox fan prior to 2004, the thought of winning the World Series probably just seemed like it was too far out of reach. Close call, after close call, and heartbreaking losses (see 1986 World Series Game 6 and 2003 ALCS Game 7) lent credence that there may have actually been a “curse”. Fast-forward to 2013 and the Red Sox capped off their third World Series in 10 seasons thanks to the grit of second baseman Dustin Pedroia. The all-star led all of baseball with 724 plate appearances in 2013, while finishing with a .301 batting average.

     This size 42 Majestic Cool-Base Boston Red Sox road gray jersey was worn by Pedroia during the 2013 World Series. Games 3, 4 & 5 were played at Busch Stadium in St. Louis where the Red Sox won two of the three games to take the series back to Boston with a 3-2 lead. This jersey has “BOSTON” across the chest in navy blue tackle twill with “PEDROIA” and his number “15” sewn on in back in navy blue tackle twill. The left sleeve has the two red hanging socks logo patch with the Majestic logo embroidered in navy blue. The right sleeve has a one-inch black tackle twill band around the arm worn by the team after the Boston Marathon bombing attack and the “2013 WORLD SERIES FALL CLASSIC” logo patch. The MLB logo patch is sewn on the upper back neck while the Majestic tag is screen printed on the bottom front left tail with a 1 x 2 ½ inch white team patch that has “15 42 “13” sewn on, along with a (-3 “body) flap on the inside seam. This jersey shows light use and comes with a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
