Official American League baseball (Harridge) signed by 19 members of the 1947 National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers. Making this ball so significant is the signature of Dodger rookie Jackie Robinson. Robinson and the Dodgers made history in '47 as Jackie became the first African American ballplayer to wear a major league uniform. With his aggressive style of play, Jackie soon won over Dodger fans and teammates on his way to earning Rookie of the Year honors, the first ever awarded. Other signatures present are Pee Wee Reese, Gil Hodges, Ralph Branca, Burt Shotton (Mgr), Pete Reiser, Jake Pitler, Bruce Edwards, Joe Hatten, Bobby Bragan, John "Spider" Jorgensen (8 others). One panel is lighter then the others, but the Robsinson panel is the strongest. A rare Dodger ball of this era with NO clubhouse signatures. This ball comes with a full JSA LOA.
