Babe Ruth signatures are highly sought after and offered is this check written by Ruth and dated September 30, 1946. The check, numbered 154 and drawn from “The Chase National Bank” has been signed “G H Ruth”, making this a truly unique item. Matted into a 14 x 18 inch frame, this yellow check displays at 3 ½ x 8 ¼ inches and was made out to “New York Telephone Company” in the amount of $13.84.
Also included with this signed check is a 5 x 7 black and white photograph of Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth, both in their home New York Yankees uniforms. Gehrig is standing on the left side with his hands in his back pocket, while Ruth is standing on the right with his left hand on his waist and his right hand leaning on a bat.
