It’s one of the rarest feats in baseball – the perfect game. In fact, only 21 pitchers in the Modern Era have hurled perfect games in Major League history. 18 of the 21 pitchers have signed this Official American League Gene A. Budig baseball in blue ink. This creamy white baseball features all of the pitchers since 1956 that have thrown a perfect game. The only pitchers not accounted for on this baseball are Cy Young, who threw his perfect game in 1904, Addie Joss (1908) and Charlie Robertson (1922).

      The only pitcher to throw a perfect game in the playoffs Don Larsen signed his name on the sweet spot and inscribed “PG 10-8-56”. Other signatures include: Jim Bunning (inscribed “P.G. 6/21/61), Sandy Koufax (inscribed “9/9/65”), Jim Catfish Hunter (inscribed “5-8-68”), Len Barker (inscribed “5-15-81”), Mike Witt (inscribed “PG 9/30/84”), Tom Browning (inscribed “PG 9-16-88”), Dennis Martinez (inscribed “P.G 7-28-91”), Kenny Rogers (inscribed “7-28-94), David Wells (inscribed “P.G. 5-17-98”), David Cone (inscribed “P.G. 7-18-99”), Randy Johnson (inscribed “5/18/04”), Mark Buehrle (inscribed “7-23-09”), Dallas Braden (inscribed “pg – 5-9-10”), Roy Halladay (inscribed “5-29-10”), Philip Humber (inscribed “PG 4-21-12”), Matt Cain (inscribed “P.G. 6/13/12”) and Felix Hernandez (inscribed “34” and “PG 08-15-12”).
