The boxers fought each other twice, in 1981 and 1989, with Leonard winning one bout and drawing the other. This rivalry, while only taking place twice, is one of the most hotly contested of all time, with both fights considered by many to be classic matches. Leonard and Hearns are considered two of the greatest boxers of their era, with both holding multiple title belts at a time when Marvin Hagler and Roberto Duran also competed in their divisions. This four-legged stool, featuring the Everlast logo painted in capital white letters in the center, was signed in black Sharpie pen by Hearns and Leonard.
