Offered in this lot are two baseballs signed by the star members of the New York Mets pitching staff. The first, a Rawlings Official Major League Robert D. Manfred Jr. baseball signed by Steven Matz, Noah Syndergaard, Jacob deGrom, and Matt Harvey. This quartet of young aces formed the backbone of the Mets team that reached the World Series in 2015. This ball is in excellent condition and is numbered 46 out of 215. The autographs are signed in blue ink and come with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 845121) and a Fanatics hologram (0900751).
The second ball, is an official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball with a Shea Stadium commemorative logo that has been signed by New York Mets legends and Dwight “Doc” Gooden and Hall of Famer Tom Seaver and was used in the August 19, 2008 game between the Atlanta Braves and the Mets. There is a scuff mark partially obscuring Gooden’s handwriting. This ball is also autographed in blue ink and comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (LH 045582) and a Fanatics hologram (0377991).
