This serigraph by legendary sport’s artist LeRoy Neiman captures the 1987 Super Bowl XX1 game between the New York Giants and the Denver Broncos. Giants’s quarterback Phill Sims (11) is seen throwing the ball over the clash which centers this piece. Bronco’s Ruben Jones (75) can be easily spotted in the middle of this spectacle, while Karl Mecklenberg (77) charges in on the right. The game would end with an eventual win for the Giants in a score of 39 – 20 and Simms winning the MVP.
The blue and white colors form a contrast which illustrates the clash of these two teams, while the yellow to the far left highlights the audience witnessing this grand moment. Neiman’s signature is located at the bottom right, written in pencil. This extravagant piece is 36 ½ x 45 ½ inches framed. This is a limited edition painting (114/ 375) and comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AB11589).
