Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This entry hails from the 1971 Topps release's more difficult series of scarcer "semi-high number," late-issue subjects. Among more than 2,400 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting, just twenty-eight examples have been placed at a higher, unqualified tier. Offered here is a beautiful collectible that features the great Roberto Clemente. The popular, yet fragile card was produced during the magical year that saw the star outfielder lead the Pirates to a World Series victory as he hit .414 and slugged a pair of home runs in the Fall Classic. This example features brilliant black borders culminating in four sharp corners and surrounding a perfectly focused Clemente likeness. Near Mint to Mint condition.
