Offered here are two baseballs signed and inscribed by men on the wrong side of history, Al Downing and Dick Drago. Downing surrendered Hank 715th home run, which put him ahead of Babe Ruth on the all-time list. Drago gave up the 755th and final home run Aaron hit in his illustrious career. The ball signed by Downing features the inscription “I gave up Hank Aaron’s 715th HR on 4/8/1974”. The inscription and Downing’s autograph are written in blue pen on the ball’s sweet spot. The score line of the Los Angeles Dodgers game against the Atlanta Braves is also written on the ball in blue pen, with a note that Aaron’s home run was hit in the 4th inning.

      Drago’s ball is inscribed “I gave up Aaron’s 755th HR 7/20/76” and both his inscription and signature are written in blue pen on the sweet spot of the ball. In addition, the complete score line of the game, which featured the California Angels vs the Milwaukee Brewers, is inscribed on the ball. Both baseballs, which are Official Major League baseballs bearing the stamped signature of Allan H. (Bud) Selig, has been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
