This collection includes three separate signed and inscribed pieces by former New York Yankee’s pitcher Don Larson. The first is an Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball. Larson’s signature is written in blue ink and is located on the sweet spot, and under is inscribed “Perfect Game vs Brooklyn Dodgers Game 5 of the 1956 World Series”. The second piece is a Baseball Stars magazine that features Don Larson on the cover. Dated 1957, Larson is pictured with hands above his head, a grin on his face, as he looks ready to pitch. Larson has signed this picture in black ink over his Yankee Uniform and has inscribed “1956 World Series Perfect Game 5 V.S. Brooklyn Dodgers Monday, October 8 1956 1:05 P.M.” The magazine has some light wear on the corners, as some pages have yellowed with age. Under the header can be seen a signature that appears to have been crossed over in black marker. Nevertheless, the picture of Don Larson appears unscathed with his inscription adding the touch of a collectible The third piece is a Baseball Digest World Series booklet. Signed in black ink Larson has similarly inscribed “1956 World Series Perfect Game 5 V.S. Brooklyn Dodgers Monday, October 8 1956 1:05 P.M.”. This booklet is in excellent condition with no visible wear. This entire lot has been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
