The 1936 New York Giants posted the top record in the National League with a 92-62 mark and won the pennant by five games over the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs. 23 members of that pennant-winning team have signed this baseball in black ink. Signatures include George Davis, and unidentified player and Gus Mancuso on the sweet spot. The opposite sweet spot has the signatures of Freddie Fitzsimmons and Frank Gabler. One panel has the signatures of Eddie Mayo, Hall of Famer Travis Jackson, Hall of Famer Carl Hubbell, Roy Spencer, and Whitey Whitehead. One panel has the signatures of Hank Leiber, Sam Leslie, Hal Schumacher, Al Smith and Hall of Famer Bill Terry (signed “Wm H (Bill) Terry”). Another panel has the signatures of Hall of Famer Mel Ott, Dick Coffman, Harry Gumbert, Dick Bartell, Harry Danning and Jo-Jo Moore (signed “Joe” Moore). The panel with “Cushioned Cork Center” stamp has “1936” handwritten in black with the signatures of Jimmy Ripple (signed “Jimmie” Ripple) and Mark Koenig.
