For the first time in 25 years, the 1935 Chicago Cubs won 100 games in a season. That earned them the National League pennant in 1935, which included a 21-game winning streak in September when the Cubs were 2 ½ games out of first place. The streak began on September 4th and lasted until September 28th and when it was all said done, the Cubs won the National League by four games over the St. Louis Cardinals. This Official National League Ford C. Frick baseball has been signed by 26 members of that pennant winning team in black marker. The baseball displays toning and a light coating of shellack appears on the baseball. Signatures include Charlie Grimm, Tuck Stainback and Stanley Hack on the sweet spot. The panel under the signed sweet has the signatures of Hall of Famer Gabby Hartnett, Hall of Famer Freddie Lindstrom, Augie Galan, Lon Warnecke, Phil Cavarretta, Clyde Shoun and Johnny Gill. The side panel with the Spalding stamp has the signatures of Hall of Famer Billy Herman, Larry French, Bill Jurges and Tex Carleton. The opposite panel has the signatures of Walter Stephenson, Charlie Root, and unidentified player, Bill Lee and Roy Henshaw. Another panel has the signatures of Red Corriden, Roy Johnson, Hugh Casey, Fabian Kowalik, Frank Demaree and Clay Bryant. This multi-signed baseball comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AB11876).
