Offered here is a glove signed and inscribed by Mariano Rivera. MLB’s all-time leader in saves, Rivera was a terrifying presence on the mound for the New York Yankees. Heralded by Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” Rivera’s walk to the mound meant that the ballgame was done and dusted for the Yankees. Rivera’s signature cut fastball shattered countless bats and helped the Yankees to five World Series titles. Rivera was the last Major League Baseball player to wear Jackie Robinson’s #42. The Yankees retired 42 in both Rivera and Robinson’s honor after his retirement. This black glove is signed on index finger slot and inscribed “Last to wear #42.” Under that is written “1995-2013 Final Season.” Rivera wrote his signature in silver sharpie pen on his personal model of glove. His name and “Phil 4:13” are stitched in white thread to the right of the webbing. This item comes with PSA/DNA certification (AB67380).
