Offered in this lot is a newspaper photograph of Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Bob Cerv. The three players are all decked out in their New York Yankees home pin-striped uniform standing in front of a batting cage with the left field Yankee Stadium upper deck and façade in the background. All three players are smiling with Maris on the right of the photo having his left hand on his hip and his right hand leaning on a bat. Standing next to Maris to his right is Mickey Mantle, who is resting on a bat with his left hand and his right arm around Bob Cerv, who is to Mantle’s right and has his left arm around Mantle. All three players have signed their name on their images on their jerseys. Mantle and Cerv have signed their names in bold blue marker, while Maris signed his name in red ink and inscribed “Good Luck”. The newspaper photo displays some toning and shows edge wear, but the player images and their signature are impeccable. In fact the PSA/DNA LOA (AA06812) that accompanies this multi-signed photograph have graded each signature a perfect “10” grade.
