Presented is a painting of Hall of Fame left fielder and first baseman Willie Stargell by the artist Tom McDonald. Stargell played for the Pittsburg Pirates and in his career led his team to two National League Pennants, six National League East Division Titles, and two World Series.
Stargell can be seen holding his bat over his right shoulder, while his team number “8” is displayed over his bright yellow jersey. The background is brown and is able to beautifully focus on Willie while he gazes across. Tom McDonald’s signatures sits at the bottom left of the painting and is written in light brown. Behind this piece is a picture of Willie Stargell himself in which this portrait is based on. This piece is framed to the dimensions of 21 ½ x 18 ½ inches, and will make a great addition for any Pittsburgh Pirates collection.
