Faced with another heartbreak at the hands of their bitter rivals, the New York Yankees, the Boston Red Sox fought back from a 9th inning one-run deficit and 3-0 series hole in the 2004 American League Championship Series. The historic comeback started in Game 4 at Fenway Park as David Ortiz gave the Red Sox some life when he hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to stave off elimination.

This Official Major League Allan H. Selig Rawlings baseball was used during Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS and shows outstanding use. The ball is covered in dirt stains one black mark on the side panel consistent with being hit with a bat. David Ortiz signed his name in bold blue pen on the sweet spot and inscribed “34”. This is a great game used and signed item from one of baseball’s classic postseason series. This ball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (MR 340631), which authenticates the game use of this ball from October 17th, 2004 (Game 4 of the ALCS) and Ortiz’s signature.
