Bryce Harper entered the 2016 as the reigning National League MVP, with his league-high 42 home runs and 118 runs scored in 2015. Coming into the 2016 season, the Nationals were looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2015 campaign that saw them finish behind the New York Mets for the National League Eastern Division title with an 83-79 record.

      After opening the season with two straight victories in Atlanta, Harper and the Nationals returned home to face the Miami Marlins on April 7th, 2016 at Nationals Park. Although the Marlins won the game 6-4, Harper did his part to keep the Nationals in the game, going 1-3 during the game, with two walks while hitting a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning off of Marlins reliever Bryan Morris and also finished the day with two runs scored.

      Harper wore this Majestic Flex Base size 48 button-down Washington Nationals home white jersey during their home opener against Miami. The jersey features a cursive “W” sewn on the upper left chest in red and navy blue tackle twill. Harper’s number “34” is sewn on the center right chest in red and navy blue tackle twill with red and blue joined piping that runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The back of the jersey has “HARPER” and “34” sewn on in red and navy blue tackle twill and a vinyl MLB logo patch sewn on the upper neck above the piping. Each sleeve end has the red and blue piping with the left sleeve having the Washington Nationals logo patch sewn on above the red embroidered logo. The Majestic tag is screen printed on the bottom front left tail, while the team bar code tag is screen printed vertically beneath the buttons and reads “#34 2016 48 366”. This jersey shows light use comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 798363) and a Fanatics hologram.
