2015 National League Cy Young Award winner Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs entered the 2016 season with high expectations. Coming off a 22-6 record with a miniscule 1.77 ERA, the Cubs right-hander was poised to lead the Cubs back to the playoffs. Arrieta’s 2016 season picked right up where he left off in 2015 as he helped lead the Cubs to the best record in baseball.

      This Majestic Flex Base size 46 button-down Cubs jersey was worn for his third start against the Colorado Rockies on April 16th at Wrigley Field. Arrieta improved to 3-0 with an eight-inning five-hit scoreless outing as Chicago defeated Colorado 6-2. This jersey has the “CUBS” circular logo patch across the upper left chest. “ARRIETA” and his “49” are sewn on the back of this jersey in blue and red tackle twill with a vinyl MLB logo patch sewn on the upper neck. The left sleeve has the Cubs blue bear in the red “C” patch above the embroidered Majestic logo in blue, while the right sleeve has the “A CENTURY OF CUBS AT WRIGLEY FIELD 1916-2016” patch, which was only used for 2016. A white mesh lining is down each side and the back tail with the Majestic tag screen printed on the bottom front left tail. There is also a Majestic Cubs barcode tag screen printed vertically at the base of the buttons. This jersey shows solid game use with some dirt and sweat stains on the front and sleeves and comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 331403), which dates this jersey to the specific April 16th game.
