This ball began its life as a collectible with the signature of Yogi Berra on the sweet spot. Enter artist Charles Fazzino, who put his unique and distinctive touches on the “horsehide canvas” to make this a collectible for the ages. One panel features a terrific full-color likeness, above which is inscribed “LOVE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE WORLD, BUT BASEBALL IS PRETTY GOOD, TOO.” with a bejeweled “8” to the right, referring to his legendary number worn by the all-time great. The remainder of the ball is adorned with tributes to Berra and the Yankees, including many of the “Yogi-isms” made famous by Berra, a raised Yankees logo, and the signature of the artist himself.
